Australian Institute of Music
CRICOS Code 00120C
THE ONLY MUSIC SCHOOL THAT ONLY FOCUSES ON MUSIC.
The Australian Institute of Music is Australia's only private music school totally dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in music. We're not an arts college or a design school: music rules our world. We've been teaching - and playing - for over 50 years. And in that time, we've helped thousands of students to follow their musical ambitions, through our giant campuses in the heart of Sydney and Melbourne.
We've created star performers, hit songwriters and record label executives, propelled countless students into successful, long-running musical and music business careers, and most importantly, nurtured talented people just like you, helping them to take their craft and their passion to the highest level.
We're uncompromisingly creative, contemporary, and progressive in our outlook. This means that while we can give you an outstanding choice of musical and arts and entertainment management degrees of the highest academic quality - with both Bachelor degrees and Masters programs. We also offer a welcoming, inspiring environment in which you can find your place in the musical world, collaborate with like-minded people, and really thrive.
BE PREPARED TO MAKE SOME NOISE
Walk into AIM and chances are you'll be blown away by the power of the music echoing through the entire building. It's inspiring to be among so many people constantly creating. Singers and players, solo and in combos; from rappers to opera singers; a heavy rock band in one room, a classical quartet in the next, and a big band strutting their stuff on the main stage. It's a massive mash-up of styles and specialties, with one common goal: to achieve great things in music, through relentless practice, fine-tuning, cross-pollination of ideas and creative collaboration.
CONNECT WITH PEOPLE WHO'LL TAKE YOU FURTHER
AIM is an amazing place to kickstart your network of musical allies and collaborators. All our lecturers have long experience working in every corner of the music industry, so we can connect you with the people who can fast-track your career - and get it started even before you graduate.
Forge connections with like-minded vocalists and instrumentalists, songwriters and composers, as well as passionate producers, engineers, managers and promoters - all the people you'll be counting on to help to propel your career. Collaborate professionally with AIM students and staff on their own musical projects. Access incredible opportunities to collaborate with professionals working in the industry.
This is the kind of experience you can only get at AIM. The very best way to get inspiration, find the people you really want to work with, and be exposed to the real world of music.
