Melbourne Polytechnic, we recently-renovated Preston campus features state-of-the art training facilities for a wide range of industries. Just 9km from the CBD and close to public transport, Melbourne Polytechnic’s Preston campus prepares students for industry and puts them on the path to their dream career.

A wide range of campus facilities
The scale and diversity of the facilities at Melbourne Polytechnic’s Preston campus is hard to beat. We have excellent facilities for tourism and hospitality, visual arts, information technology, electrotechnology, design and drafting, Koorie services, health and community studies, office administration, work education, language studies and commerce. The campus is also home to our Administrative and Management Head Office.

Access support when you need it
Preston is Melbourne Polytechnic’s counselling hub. The service is free and by appointment. If you’re feeling concerned about your homework, feeling stressed, or even worried about an issue at home, come in and make an appointment to chat to someone. If you’re an international student, make the most of our friendly International Office on our Preston campus, which is here to help and support you during your time at Melbourne Polytechnic.

Student Life
Our Student Life at MelbPoly (SLAM) team run the fun stuff on Campus: things like movie nights, bake sales, cook-offs, careers expos, spring markets, and more. We also run competitions, share giveaways, and organise trips.

Melbourne Polytechnic employs the SLAM team to enrich the student experience. We have a presence on every Campus, and we're here for you, the student, so make the most of it. Our events are free and open to everyone. Come along and meet our close-knit communities, make friends and get involved in Campus culture.

SLAM like to collaborate
We collaborate with Tertiary Recreation and Entertainment Victoria (TREV) to deliver sporting and social programs with other TAFEs and universities. We also support and encourage students to build their skills and run their own events, fundraisers and competitions, so if you have an idea, please get in touch to see how we can help.

Want to become a PolyVoly?
If you’re looking to gain some work experience while studying, consider volunteering with SLAM and become a PolyVoly. You can help out organise events and fundraisers or contribute content to social media.

As a Poly Voly you can connect with students from different campuses and backgrounds and enjoy a sense of achievement by giving back to the institute and the community.
